Whether you want to build a new thatched construction, recondition an existing one or protect your current one, we offer a one stop thatched roofing solution for any situation.
Master Thatchers.
With almost twenty years’ experience in the construction of thatched roofs, we take great pride in the product that we deliver.
We acquire our timber directly from treatment plants and ensure only the best quality timber is used in the roof construction.
Thousands of bundles of thatching grass are stored in our storage facilities, ensuring that we have access to grass that has been cut after natural frosting has taken place and that the grass has had sufficient time to dry.
This results in a roof that has a longer life span and will remain bound for longer than a roof that is constructed with recently cut or “green” grass.

Thatch Types.
We make use of both “Namib Reed” and “Cape Reed” as a ceiling layer, depending on the client’s preference and availability of products. Both grasses result in a very aesthetically pleasing finish to the inside of the roof.
Although some settling of the structure is to be expected, all roof bracing is installed in consultation with a structural engineer to ensure minimal movement takes place.
Protect your Thatch
Protecting your thatch roofing is one of the most important endeavors you can undertake when wanting to prolong the lifespan of your thatch roof and reduce your insurance costs.
We offer two main methods of protection; Fire retardant coatings and metal sheeting. Both of which cover the outer layer of your thatch roof to help prevent damage from animals, fire and more.
